The Marlin Heritage 23 is hand laid laminated fiberglass sailboat that was first built in 1958 by Nathaniel G Herreshoff. Stepping into cockpit you have 8' long seats to port and starboard with easy access to rigging. The deck's hardware features a self-tacking jib traveler system, roller furling, rope clutches, Lewmar winch, and carbon air blocks. One of the many beautiful features that standout on the 23 Marlin is the high-gloss Mahogany toe rails and coamings. The steering rudder consist of a 1-1/8" stainless steel rudder shaft, a custom cast bronze rudder heel & chrome plated rudder head and a varnished tiller. In the aft port side section of the cockpit you have flush mounted engine gauges with ignition switching. The cabin offers access to the sound deadening insulated engine compartment, bilge pump, and cozy room to stay dry in on the 7 foot settee cushions to port and starboard with a 36 quart cooler for storing refreshments. The 1,400 lbs solid lead keel features stainless steel keel bolts and fastening hardware that is bonded by using premium underwater body fillers. All seems on the keel are filled, faired and painted with top of the line Interlux products. The balasting ration of the 23 Marlin weight is 36%. of In-water cover, double axel trailer and trailer tongue extension is included in the sale price.
